HQE LEATHER
HQE offers 6 standard options for custom boots, clients have an option of choosing a colour outside our standard range, however it comes with a surcharge.
Hello Quality Equestrian’s boots are handcrafted with ethically sourced South African veg-tanned leather. Vegetable tanning refers to the method of tanning the cowhide into leather. The process is called “vegetable” because of the natural materials used in the tanning process like tree bark.
What makes vegetable tanning so unique is that it ages better and develops a rich patina over time. And it has that awesome classic leather feel and smell.
Leather that does not have any artificial finish applied to its surface will have inherent variations in colour, texture and this will add character to the boots.
